Setting up a Merchant Account
Two of the commonly asked questions we receive from new strategic partners are: Am I required to have my own merchant account or can I use one from Apollo Commerce? How does the merchant account processing work to charge customers credit cards?

The answers are pretty simple. You have the option to use your own merchant account or to use one belonging to Apollo Commerce. This gives you the flexibility to decide which method is best for your company. If you choose to have your own merchant account but don't currently one established, we can help you get one set up through our exclusive relationship with E-Commerce Exchange.

Under this program, E-Commerce Exchange has agreed to provide special rates to our strategic partners. This includes a low set up fee and a very competitive discount rate. This set up process typically takes a few weeks.

Once your merchant account is set up, customer orders are charged in real time on your web site or on a web site we create for you. If your own merchant account is being used the funds collected will be deposited in your bank account typically within 24-72 hours. If an Apollo Commerce merchant account is being used, then the funds will be deposited into our bank account and we will pay you commission on your sales on a monthly basis.
