Frequently Asked Questions: Shipping
& Fulfillment

 |
What should I charge for shipping costs on my web site?
|
[back
to top] |
|
If you are using your own credit card merchant
account to process orders on your web site, you
can charge your customers whatever you want for
domestic shipping options. We will then rebill
you for the actual cost for these shipments (less
any discounts we provide you per our contractual
terms) plus a $1 per order fulfillment fee. For
international shipments you need to set up our
international rates in your system per our foreign ship rates page. |

Do you process returns for my web site? Is there a fee associated with returns processing? |
[back to top] |
|
Apollo Commerce has an automated returns process and will process all of the returns for your web site. Returns for our products typically average about 1% of total sales. Once you become a partner, you will adopt our standard return policies on your site.
You will be credited each week for returns of unopened and resalable products received in accordance with our return policy. For any returns received from your customers not in accordance with our return policy OR if products returned are not in resalable condition, you will bear the cost of those losses. In all cases, the customer is responsible to request an RMA number for their return and for the cost of shipping the return back to our fulfillment center.

Are duties collected for foreign shipments? |
[back to top] |
|
We do not pre-collect duties and tariffs from you or your customers for foreign shipments. If a duty or tariff is required for an item that your customer orders, local customs will collect that duty or tariff directly from your customer. You should inform your customers on your web site policy pages that any duties or tariffs are their responsibility and will be collected when the package is received. Please note that for shipments to Canada we do in fact pre-pay duties and tariffs for those orders. |

Does customs ever confiscate or reject orders sent to foreign countries? |
[back to top] |
|
From time to time, local customs does confiscate or return orders to us. Due to the complex and ever changing rules that exist in the various countries that we ship to, we cannot guarantee that all foreign orders will be delivered. For this reason, it is imperative that you make your customers responsible for knowing what their local customs rules are before they order (this should be added to your foreign order policies page on your web site).
However, Apollo Commerce has an excellent success rate shipping to countries on our approved country list. Our partnership with Deutsche Post has been excellent in ensuring that foreign orders are delivered in a timely and accurate fashion.
